Reflective Paragraphs Week 4 – Romans 6-8

If ever a set of chapters had a catch-phrase, that of these is “Certainly not!”, which occurs four times in chapters 6 and 7, in which the author asks a series of rhetorical questions about sin and the law. Using the inductive method we’re learning about in another class, the author creates questions and uncertainty in his audience about the place of the law and about sin, and then explain it all, giving the answers in chapter 8. If I had my way, 8:38-39 would also be more commonly quoted: nothing can separate us from the love of God.
