Mo Rathad

Seo an topaic a bh’ ann an seachdain: “Dè fhaodas daoine dèanamh air an rathad far a bheil thu fhèin a’ fuireach?” Thuirt e cuideachd: “Am faod iad càr fhàgail an sin eadar 9 uairean anns a’ mhadainn agus 6 uairean feasgar, no am feum iad airgead a chur dhan mheatar?”

Ahh… Chan fhoad! Chan fhaod gu dearbh! Foadaidh duine sam bith càr dhraibh agus fhàgail air an rathad far a bheil mi-fhìn a’ fuireach. Chan fheum iad airgead a chur dhan mheatar idir! Chan eil meatar no solas-stad no solad-sràide no ruidigean eile air an rathadh ach craobh, cearcan, agus aon sanas “Danger: Koala Crossing”.

Tha còalas agus cangurùs air an rathad far a bheil mi a’ fuireach, agus a-nis ‘is a rithist tha duine sam bith a’ buachaillich gobhar no alpaca suas an rathad.

Am faod sibh beathan buachaillich suas an rathad far a bheil sibh-fhèin a fuirich?

Am feum sibh ur car airson beathan stad a-riamh?

Mo rathad – Google maps – my street

This week’s topic was “What can people do on the road where you live?” It also said, “Can they park a car there between 9am and 6pm, or must they put money in the meter?”

Ah… no! No indeed! People can drive a car and park it on the road where I live. They don’t have to put money in a meter at all! There isn’t any money-meter or traffic-light or street-light or anything else on my street but trees, chooks, and one “Danger: Koala Crossing” sign.

There are koalas and kangaroos on the road where I live, and now and then someone will herd goats or alpacas up the road.

Can people herd animals up the road where you live?

Do you ever have to stop your car for livestock?
