Rudan a Chì ‘is a Cluinnidh Mi

Seo na cèistean a bh’ ann an t-seachdain seo: “Innis dhuinn trì rudan (a) a chì thu ‘n uair a thèid thu a-mach air an doras anns a’ mhadainn, agus (b) a chluinneas tu ‘n uair a dh’fhosglas tu an doras anns a’ mhadainn.” Cha robh òraid mòr agam:

‘N uair a thèid mi a-mach air an doras anns a’ mhadainn, chì mi na tunnagan, na cearcan, agus na caoraich. Mur am bi latha breagha ann, chì mi a thairis a gleann air na coilltean eile. ‘N uair a dh’fhosglas mi an doras anns a’ mhadainn, cluinnidh mi na tunnagan, na cearcan, agus na caoraich (‘s e gleann beagan ciùin a th’ ann gu dearbh!)… Ach ‘n uair a thèid mi a-mach air an doras anns am feasgar no anns an oidhche, cluinnidh mi na còalas a’ cobhartaich… agus a-nis ‘is a-rithist cluinnidh mi siren nan stèisean-smàlaidh.

Seirbhis Smalaidh Duthaich – Country Fire Service

Here’s this week’s question: “Tell us three things that (a) you see when you go out the door in the morning, and (b) you hear when you open the door in the morning.” I didn’t have a big monologue:

When I go out the door in the morning, I see the ducks, the chooks, and the sheep. If it’s a nice day, I see over the valley to the next hill. When I open the door in the morning, I hear the ducks, the chooks, and the sheep (it’s a bit of a quiet locality!)… But when I go out the door in the evening or at night, I hear the koalas barking… and now and then I hear the fire station siren.
